College Intern Opportunity

Summer interns are on the front lines of this mission, teaching and loving kids in need of positive
role models in their everyday lives.  The energy & enthusiasm that these interns bring to the kids brings our program to life!

For Summer 2008, we are hoping for at least 18 college interns!

The approximate cost to sponsor one summer intern is $2500.  This amount can be divided among several supporters.  One payment option that has been successful in the past is our BUILD AN INTERN program.  By giving one intern "Building Block" of $250, each intern would require only 10 supporters!  Another option is to fully pay for one intern for the entire summer, giving $2500.  Many churches & organizations have been very creative in their payment plans & we hope you'll join us to think outside the box.  Please share this information with your mission board, congregation  or individuals who can assist with fundraising.

We can't say THANK YOU enough for supporting our ministry!

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities abound at the 14th & Chestnut Community Center for church, civic organizations, youth groups, and individuals.

Our volunteer application is available from our office. We do insist on a thorough review of all volunteers in a dedicated effort to provide a safe, loving environment for our children. Personal reference reviews and criminal histories are completed on all volunteer applicants.

Many different volunteer positions, time commitments, duties, and experiences are available. Most come to the Center to give back to their community and discover that instead, they have been blessed and moved by the experience.

Interested in volunteering?

Please call 232-3126 for more information.
