for Annual Conference
We invite
everyone - clergy, lay members, spouses, and visitors - who is planning
to attend this year's session to register today. When you register
online you can pay with your credit card or choose to mail your check
later. You can purchase a parking permit, reserve dormitory
accommodations and sign up for Conference meals. Of course, you can
also register simply to attend at no cost.
What is happening
this year?
The Registration packet provides more information on housing,
transportation, meals, helpful tips and mission giving opportunities to
assist you with your registration process. The registration packet with
the paper registration has been mailed out. Please contact us if you
need additional copies. |

Five
Day Academy for Spiritual Formation
The South
Indiana UMC Conference and The Presbytery of Ohio Valley
will joining together in offering a "Five Day Academy for
Spiritual
Formation" at Waycross Retreat Center in Morgantown, Indiana
from June 15th to June 20, 2008. The faculty will be Sister
Kathleen Flood,
OP and Glandion Carney. Sister Kathleen is the Executive
Director of Stillpoint, a contemplative prayer retreat in
Nashville, Tennessee, and
a well known presenter at retreats and academies for laity and clergy.
Glandion is a member of the Renovare' Ministry Team and
Chaplain
for the Legal Society. He is highly recommended by many of the ministers
in the area. The theme of the academy, "God of Grace...God
of Glory",
will be discussed by the faculty and in small groups during the five
days. This will be also a time for silence and
reflection by the participants.

Clergy Spouse Refresher
|
"FISHING FOR
ANSWERS"
This year's theme for the
Clergy Spouse Refresher, "Fishing for Answers." Guest Speaker for
the event is Mrs. Jan True, wife of Terre Haute District Superintendent
Rev. Tom True. The Refresher will be held on September 21st-23rd
at the Brown County Inn in Nashville, IN.
